After 4 years we return to Le Coin Tranquille, nestled in the hilly landscape of the Isère, near the Savoie between Lyon and Chambéry. It is a friendly campsite, just like its owners, Martine and Gilles Vallon, who run this four star campsite with their daughters and son-in-law. It is well known locally for its excellent restaurant.
Since our last visit the pool area has been further improved with a whirlpool and a covered swimming pool supplementing the heated open air pool.
Our event will run for 5 nights, from Monday to Saturday.
After arrivals and settling in we will meet at 6.00pm on Monday to formally kick off the event with a welcome drink and introductions.
Our day trip out on Tuesday by coach will be to The Chartreuse. The whole day trip will include a wine tasting, a Restaurant Lunch and a ride up on the Funiculare of St Hilaire du Touvet to over 1000 metres to enjoy the panoramic view, before we return to the campsite.
On Wednesday evening will be the Barbeque Night, hosted by Gilles and his staff.
Thursday morning will allow us exercise off some of the calories from the previous night and enjoy Martine's company on a guided walk of the local area, about 8 kms/5 miles in length.
On Friday evening we gather together in the Restaurant for Dinner.
Saturday will be departure day, unless you plan to stay longer and take full advantage of the sites excellent facilities. The gathering includes 5 nights campsite fees, but if you stay and pay 18€ for a 6th night, then the 7th night is free. So arrive early, or stay a little longer, you will not be disappointed.
We will all be sited together. Each pitch has 10 amps supply.
Dogs are welcome on site, but will need to be a lead when out of your vehicle. Regretfully, Dogs are not allowed on the Coach's for the day trip. If members need to drop out of the day trip as a result, their attendance costs will be adjusted accordingly.
The exchange rate is not in our favour at present and so the anticipated cost of this event will be £375 per couple with a deposit of £75 payable at the time of booking to secure a place.
