Soleil Plage is a 5 star, top class campsite in the picturesque Dordogne region of France. It is close (9km) to the town of Sarlat and the campsite is located right on the banks of the Dordogne river.
The site has open air swimming pools and a good quality restaurant and bar.
We are limited to 40 Carthagos for this event and we currently have a waiting list.
Arrivals will be on Wednesday,13th September unless you have made private arrangements directly with the campsite.
Thursday will be a day at leisure to meet and chat to your fellow Carthago owners and /or to make your own arrangements for cycling/walking/kayaking or visiting local places of interest. In the evening we will gather in the on site bar for a welcome drink - or two!
On the Friday we shall be taking a coach trip to the beautiful and dramatic riverside town of Beynac. Here we will board a Gabarre for a 50 minute trip along the Dordogne river. We return to Beynac for a 'Plat du Jour' lunch before boarding the coaches again and travelling to the hilltop town of Domme which has spectacular views of the Dordogne valley. We then return to the campsite.
Friday evening there will be a 3 course dinner in the on site restaurant. A 1/4 bottle of Bergerac wine per head is included and followed by coffee.
Saturday, as Thursday, is a free day to pass the time with friends old and new. In the evening, there will be a 3 course dinner in the on site restaurant with a 1/4 bottle of Bergerac wine per head included followed by coffee. We have been promised some music and dancing hosted by the campsite staff.
Sunday is time to depart by 12:00.
The estimated cost of the Gathering is now calculated upon an exchange rate of 1.12 euros to the pound and is £200 per Carthago plus a small euro exchange rate adjustment upon arrival payable in euros.
An initial deposit of £60 is required with your registration and a second deposit payment of £140 will be due in July 2017.
Registration for both the Event and the Waitlist has now been closed as maximum numbers have been reached for the Event and there are over 10 on the Waitlist.
